AN OPEN LETTER FROM THE OWNER
Ever since I was a child, I have always been passionate about fireworks! I started delivering newspapers at 10 years old – to save money to buy fireworks. My love for fireworks continued to grow. When I wasn’t igniting fireworks, I was researching fireworks. When I turned 21 years old, I found a local club that shared my passion: The Western New York Pyrotechnic Association.
One of the club members owned Skylighters, and shortly thereafter, I started working for him and training under him. It really was a dream come true. Over the next eight years, I worked alongside some of the most intelligent, hard-working, and like-minded individuals.
In the fall of 2011, there was a rumor that the owner wanted to retire. The future of Skylighters was in question. So I decided to buy it. Being so passionate about fireworks, continuing my career in the industry and continuing the reputation of Skylighters was very important to me.
I made it my goal to be one of the most respected, honest, and creative, fireworks display companies in the country. Today, Skylighters is made up of over 100 of the finest hard-working men and women in the industry. The attention to detail and love for fireworks continue to show in every single display we produce. We are proud to service all the great communities, fairs, boards, schools, and everyone else that we produce fireworks for.
